I was having a snack with two friends I’ve previously mentioned, Ingrid Etzold, Designer Manager at Nordstrom Waterside Shops and Sarah LaMont, Founder and Stylist with Why Style. They are professional shoppers and style makers and I can’t tell you how many HOURS they’ve saved me and how many IDEAS they’ve shared.
Ingrid and Sarah have a knack for sniffing out the cool, the unusual, and just-right something or other before I barely have the words out of my mouth describing what I think I’m looking for. They’re way ahead of me.

I’d just finished the “If You’re Good At Everything” article and we were talking about the various times all of us have fallen in the trap of trying to do it all and be good at it all and end up not being very good at any of it because we’re spread too thin.

By the number of comments I received, from Chapter3 readers, lots of us fall into that category.

So I thought I’d offer up one solution.  And it’s a nod to Ingrid and Sarah and what they do best.  Shop.  And they’ll do it for you.  In person.  By telephone.  E-mail.  Skype or smoke signal.  They’re at your service.  Reach them at  ingrid.etzold@nordstrom.com, or http://www.whystyle.us/contact/

If if what you’d really like for the holidays is a little extra time for yourself, enlist some help from Ingrid, Sarah, or your favorite salesperson at your favorite store.  “De-Stress” instead of being in “Distress” this season.

For The Fashionista

Ingrid and Sara say,  “The cool fashion girl has at least one versatile scarf, a leather jacket, a unique “right hand” ring, rock star sunglasses, statement shoes or boots, and bundles of bangles.  Here are some of our favorites.”

“A leather scuba jacket – or any cool leather jacket – takes an outfit from ho-hum to vavoom with instant attitude. We love this one by Vince.”

“The girl who loves to shop but never seems to have anything to wear, definitely needs a  Why Style Gift Card – beginning at $50.00.  It can be used toward any personal shopping needs and never expires!  Give the gift of both luxury and functionality and introduce your friend to her new favorite shopping buddy.”  http://www.whystyle.us
